About Spin The Racket
Covering everything from the pro tour to the everyday league player. Atlanta's home for recreational tennis content.
Two friends. One mic. A love for the game.
Spin The Racket started in the summer of 2025 when two tennis-obsessed friends realized there was a massive gap in tennis media: nobody was talking to the recreational player.
Sure, you can find endless coverage of Djokovic, Sinner, and Gauff — but what about the ALTA league match on Saturday morning? The USTA team that just made playoffs? The best courts in Atlanta for after-work hitting? The person who just picked up a racket for the first time at 35?
That's the gap we're filling. Spin The Racket covers the full spectrum of tennis — from Grand Slams to your local public courts — with an Atlanta-first lens and a community-first approach.
We're building more than a podcast. STR is becoming a full tennis ecosystem: podcast episodes, court guides, a newsletter, events coverage (Spring Open, INTENNSE), and eventually the STR Tennis Club — think Nike Run Club, but for tennis.
Meet the Hosts
“I'm your boy G... and I'm Lu”
Gerard
One half of the Spin The Racket duo. Gerard brings sharp analysis of the pro tour combined with deep roots in Atlanta's recreational tennis community. When he's not behind the mic, you'll find him on the courts grinding ALTA and USTA matches.
Luis
The other half of STR. Luis combines his love for tennis with a knack for storytelling and community building. He's the architect behind STR's content strategy and the vision for growing the brand from podcast to full tennis community platform.
